£100,000 donated to Hampton Pool Trust in memory of Milly Dowler

The Hampton Pool Trust has learnt that it is to receive a share of the £1m donated to charities in the memory of Milly Dowler. The donation is part of a settlement agreement between the Dowler family and News International.

The Hampton Pool Trust has learnt that it is to receive a share of the £1m donated to charities in the memory of Milly Dowler. The donation is part of a settlement agreement between the Dowler family and News International.

The Hampton Pool Trust is extremely grateful to the Dowler family, who are users of the open-air pool, for choosing it as one of the beneficiaries of this donation.

Daphne Wharton, Chair of Hampton Pool Trust, said of the news “I’d like to thank the Dowler family for thinking of Hampton Pool. The donation will make a huge impact on the services we provide to the community."

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification courses 2012

We will be running three NPLQ Courses during 2012.

STA Beginner and Full Teacher Courses

If you are interested in becoming a Swimming Teacher we will be running Beginners Courses, NARS Pool Rescue courses and Full Teacher courses this year form late February.

SpringTerm's Swimming Lessons

Please note that our group swimming lessons will start on Monday 9th January 2012.  This means that the trainer pool will close at 4.00pm Monday to Friday and will re-open at 6.00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for the late swim.  On Saturdays it will  be closed until 12 noon and on Sundays until 11.00am.  Thank you.

Waterpolo

Don't forget Water Polo every Sunday 4.00 - 5.15 p.m.  If you haven't played before why not give it a try.  Everyone is welcome! 

OPENING TIMES NOTICES

Royal Canoe Club Tuesdays and Fridays

Please note that on Tuesdays and Fridays the Royal Canoe Club will be hiring a lane between 6.00 and 7.15 am.

This will be from 25th November until 12th February 2012. There will still be 3 lanes available for general swimming. Thank you.

SPECIAL NOTICES

Storm closure procedures

In the event of thunder storms we will have to ask you to leave the water immediately. An 'all clear' to re-enter the water will be given once there has been a 20 minute lapse between thunder rolls.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for lost swimming time.
