A glorious sunset. A delicious picnic at the edge of a turquoise pool. The summer air filled with the unmistakable sound of The Stranglers. Friday nights don’t get much better than this.

We can’t guarantee the sunset but our audiences have seen some crackers in the 16 years that we’ve been holding the Hampton Pool Summer Concert Series.

Lay down your picnic rug and listen to the classics that define the unmistakable sound of the Men in Black. Peaches, Golden Brown, Something Better Change – the possibilities are almost endless. The Stranglers have a huge repertoire, so you can look forward to a fabulous evening of Stranglers-style surprise and delight. The band are touring extensively in the run up to our own special night at Hampton pool, so they’re sure to be in great form.
“The Stranglers sell out but never sold out.” Charlie Whiting, The Express. March 24, 2017

“The Stranglers still encompass everything that made them dear to their fans in those early days.” Sarah Kidd, Ambient Light, 2 February 2018

“A classic collection is what these post punk legends promised and that’s what they served up to the sell-out crowd at the Beach Ballroom.” Alison Stenhouse, Evening Express, March 2017
The members of Jawbone keep some very impressive company, having worked with artists like Sir Tom Jones, Sir Van Morrison, Eric Clapton and Paul Jones. And on July 6 they’ll be keeping our lovely audience at Hampton Pool company with their unique blend of sounds.

They are a four-piece made up of highly experienced and talented musicians – Paddy Milner (keyboards with Tom Jones band), Marcus Bonfanti (guitarist with Ten Years After), Rex Horan (double bass with Neil Cowley Trio) and Evan Jenkins (drummer with Neil Cowley Trio).

Jawbone have been likened to a cross between Little Feat and The Rolling Stones, and at Hampton Pool, their set will include a mix of original and cover songs embracing blues, R&B, New Orleans and more. Look forward to a summer night’s treat.

As a charity, Hampton Pool’s future depends on these fundraising events and we really appreciate your support.
For all concerts, the gates open at approximately 19:00, or a little before, so you can have a swim before the music begins.
