open air theatre comes to the lawns of Hampton Pool and YMCA Hawker Centre in Kingston

fundraising outdoor performances are back for 2010!

2009 was an exciting summer for Hampton Pool and theYMCA Hawker Centre in Kingston as we hosted our first ever open air theatre fundraising productions.

Hampton Pool is a not for profit company and also a registered charity and these performances are part of our much needed fundraising activities. The money raised is used in the continuing programme of improvement of the facilities for all to enjoy.

Performing for us in 2009 were Heartbreak productions, Illyria, Theatreworks, Cambridge Touring Theatre and Quantum.

The shows really captivated our audiences. We had fun and laughter with Mr Toad in Wind in the Willows; The Three Musketeers was action-packed with sword fights; tears were shed at Tess of the D’Urbervilles; imaginations awoken in A Midsummer Night’s Dream; and singing and dancing was had by all in Alice in Wonderland and As You Like It!

It was quite a summer!…

…and the great news is, we're doing it all again next year!
