We welcome back tonight Miss Elkie Brooks, energetic diva of UK rock and blues, for one date of her sell-out 50th Anniversary tour. In 2007 she gave us an astounding powerhouse performance, hitting high notes, unobtainable by most singers, that would have seen a trained athlete out of breath!

She has produced 20 studio albums and 50 singles over her career and tonight’s show will include material from her new album, Powerless, which includes her version of Princes's Purple Rain, and a generous helping of hits including Lilac Wine, Pearl’s a Singer, Sunshine after the Rain and Fool if You Think It’s Over.

Elkie will be backed by her highly talented band: Melvin Duffy on guitar, Brian Badhams on bass guitar, Steve Jones on sax, Andrew Murray on keyboards, Mike Richardson on drums and Lee Noble on keyboard and vocals.
