Our first classical music concert and what a star to grace our stage! The beautiful young Kiwi soprano Hayley Westenra. Her pure voice filling the air on a warm summers evening will be an unmissable spine tingling experience
She was the biggest selling classical artiste of 2007 and has performed for the Queen, George Bush, Tony Blair, the Dalai Lama and our troops in Basra. Her debut album 'Pure' topped the British classical music charts and turned Gold within one week of release. Since then it has gone Double Platinum. Other albums 'Odyssey' and 'Treasure' have sold over 4 million copies. At only 21, she has released a greatest hits CD 'River of Dreams'.
She has duetted with Jose Carreras, Bryn Terfel and Andrea Bocelli and is UNICEF's youngest-ever ambassador.
Hayley will be accompanied by The Raven Quartet and Tim Evans on piano.
