Apart from the three lanes for lap swimming, the pool is kept free for using the two small slides and general recreational swimming.

The smaller teaching pool (12.5m x 7.3m) is usually available for children to enjoy as it has a gentle graduation from the steps into a maximum depth of 0.9 metres. It is ideal for young children to lose any fear of water and many a baby under 12 months has made its first swimming strokes here.

We also hold the following organised activities throughout the year:

Parent & toddler (under 5’s)

This 90 minute session gives parents and under 5’s exclusive use of the teaching pool. 10.30 am-12 noon Monday Wednesday and Friday. Please note this does not include admission to afternoon swimming sessions. See the group swimming lessons page for more detail.

TNT kids' activity camp

Fancy a break from the children during the holidays on Tuesdays ‘N’ Thursdays? Two action packed hours of healthy activity for children aged between 4 and 12 years under the supervision of our fully qualified staff.

Activities include climbing on our BRAND NEW 17 metre ice age inflatable, enjoying the bouncy castle, giant aqua run and parachute, walking on water, playing football and much more.

Each session includes a snack of freshly prepared fruit and squash from our Sun Deck Café before the second hour of fun commences.

Easter and Summer Holidays, Tuesdays & Thursdays 9.30 to 11.30am, £11.00 per child, per session.

Hampton Pool Great Whites Swimming Club

These sessions are designed to allow children to train in a club environment but with a friendly supportive attitude towards the coaching. It is suitable for children over 8 years old. See Hampton Great Whites page for more details.
