Swimming 365
days a year!
Welcome to the heated water of our open air pools. Hampton Pool, known as “South West London’s best kept secret” is situated next to Royal Bushy Park. Our main pool is 36 metres long and we also have a learner pool dedicated to children and their parents.
The Sunday Times described us as “one of Britain’s coolest, biggest, hippest pools”.
The water in our pools is heated throughout the year. We provide for the community 365 days of outdoor swimming, yes, you can even have a swim on Christmas Day!
Our pools are monitored by a team of professional lifeguards, providing a safe environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
During ‘Lane Swim’ sessions, the main pool is split into six to accommodate swimmers of different speeds and ability. For ‘Recreational Swim’ sessions, the main pool is split in half to allow for lane swimming on one side and family swimming and fun on the other (see below for times).
In addition, there is a 12.5 metre long by 7 metre wide shallow learner pool. This is a pool where babies and toddlers can safely get their ‘water legs’ with their parents at a warm 31°C.
The two pools are situated in a south facing woodland area on the outskirts of Bushy Park. We also have a grassed area for you to just laze in the sun between your swims.
Spend a day with us swimming and lazing in the sunshine, remember it’s cheaper and warmer than a family trip to the seaside. Customers even tell us that a day at Hampton Pool is like being on holiday!
We also offer limited free parking.

Weak and non-swimmers must stay in the shallow end with an adult and not go past the point marked on poolside. We highly recommend weak and non-swimmers wear approved buoyancy devices.
Please note that all pay-as-you-go sessions are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Storm closure procedures
In the event of thunder storms we will have to ask you to leave the water immediately. An ‘all clear’ to re-enter the water will be given once there has been a 20 minute lapse between thunder rolls. Where bad weather affects visibility, the pool will close until conditions improve.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for lost swimming time.
