Starfish swim school

Hampton Pool’s Starfish swim school takes on swimmers of all abilities and ages, transforming non-swimmers up to a club level. We run our swim school all year round, maintaining continuous exercise and practice to allow your children to quickly develop into competent swimmers.

During the school holidays we also run crash courses to accelerate their progress through an intensive week of swimming.

All of our instructors are ASA or STA qualified and attend frequent training to maintain high standards.

Aside from our Stafish swim school, we also offer a variety of other lessons: Adult Classes, Adult, Baby and Toddler lessons and Private lessons for individuals or small groups.

We also run a non-competitive swimming club, Hampton Great Whites, whose members have three sessions that are aimed at overall fitness as well as continued work on swimming technique and efficiency in the water. For more information please see the Hampton Great Whites page.

Lesson portal

At Hampton pool we use an online system which allows swimming lessons to be delivered more effectively through online registration and assessment.

Our swim instructors use tablets on poolside to record attendance and also update your child’s progress.

Our Lesson Portal is an ASA-endorsed solution to allow parents and guardians greater visibility of their child’s progress through courses and a smoother progression through the swim levels.

Our portable poolside devices allow instructors to upload assessment information instantly during the lesson. Parents can view progress against the course content, top up lesson credits and make comments between stages online through the ‘Home Portal’.
