Group swimming lessons

Our Group swimming lessons run throughout the three school terms and we offer crash courses during the school holidays. We follow the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) award scheme which are progressive awards over 8 stages covering all four competitive strokes.

Little Ones Pre-School programme

We run a full programme of swimming lessons designed for pre-school children which run during the school terms. There are ‘Little Ones’ for the under 5s without their parents and ‘Speedy Fish’ for children under 5 who can swim a short distance unaided on their front and back.

Pre school children can participate in Adult and Baby/Toddler classes. These run during leisure swim morning sessions and provides a quiet environment for young ones to gain confidence in the pool.

So bring your little ones along and have fun with floats and toys in the warm water of the learner pool.

Group swimming lesson prices

School age

For children who are at school we run classes during the week and Saturday mornings catering for various ages and abilities. For the younger and less advanced children we have a maximum of four children to one teacher, meaning that the child gets more time with the teacher. For children able to swim 10m or more the classes hold a maximum of 6. These classes work towards achieving awards set out by the National teaching plan.

Our pre-club lessons are 45 minutes and take up to 8 children. This class works on technique and stamina and is designed for those who are thinking about joining our Great Whites Swimming Club.

Our termly lessons are on a Saturday and Sunday morning.

Help us to help you – FREE swimming lessons during teacher training sessions

Look out for our teacher training sessions that happen between three and four times a year. By helping us train new swimming teachers we can offer lessons at a reduced rate during these limited sessions.
